Broner wins over Taylor

Adrien Broner won a twelve round decision over Emmanuel Taylor on Saturday night, punctuating the decision with a round-twelve knockdown that cemented the deal. Although Taylor looked good in spots, essentially using the same hooks that Maidana beat Broner with two fights ago, he did not have the strength and energy of Maidana and therefore allowed Broner to adjust and counter. Broner lost several early rounds then began winning in the mid-stages of the fight. By the end of the last round, Broner was clearly ahead and Taylor needed a knockout to win. This was not to be the case, as Broner continued to get better through the rounds, using his speed to counter Taylor and produce a victory.
